Twelve messages of Christmas
Under Whole Body Health, we describe that it is important for shoulder health (and all musculoskeletal health) to be active. While that can be difficult for many people living with pain, small steps in increasing activity can have a significant effect: connecting with others, feeling better about oneself, appreciating the nature around us, sleeping better.
You may know the song ‘12 days of Christmas’? The British Journal of Sports Medicine published a beautiful infographic encouraging all of us to be active. The imagery focusses on winter time. For us in the Southern Hemisphere, getting out and about during the festive season might be easier, being summer.
So, encourage whānau and friends to move - ‘being active is a perfect gift for your body and mind’.
